Lara “Lario” Adriolo experiments her way through her twenties with the anarchic heart-fire of an adolescent gnat that was struck by lightning. Her work is the result of growing up rurally with old videogames, unrestricted internet access and a substantial amount of undiagnosed neurodivergence. Its form is never fixed, but always firmly rooted in the bright aesthetics of vague childhood memories, strung together by an underlying, seething discontentment with the current state of things.
